Anna Dot (Vic, Spain)

Anna Dot is an artist and researcher at the Department of Translation, Interpretation and Applied Languages ​​of the University of Vic. Her projects focus on translation and communication processes, paying special attention to the processes of reading and writing as well as digital technologies. Anna Dot often uses tools that explore text as if it was a cumulative technology.

Anna Dot’s (Vic, 1991) projects have been shown at Fundació Antoni Tàpies in Barcelona; La Capella in Barcelona; Bòlit Center of Contemporary Art in Girona; Museu de la Pell in Vic or La Capella de Sant Roc in Valls. Outside of Catalonia, she has participated in the 2018 OpenStudio program in Madrid and has exhibited at Plataforma Revolver in Lisbon; at the Kunsthalle Mainz in Germany and at Galería Tiro Al Blanco in Guadalajara, in Mexico. She will soon be a resident in Denmark as a guest artist for the European Participatory Arts for Invisible Communities (PAIC) and will exhibit at Muzej savremene umetnosti Vojvodine in Novi Sad, Serbia.
